Concrete Bollard Pricing Breakdown — Unit Costs, Volume Rates, and Add-Ons
Transparent unit pricing for facility directors and property managers building accurate capital project budgets.
Base Unit Pricing Schedule
All pricing below is per bollard, fully installed (labor, materials, core drill, concrete fill, cap), single-mobilization pricing assuming four or more bollards per site visit. Mobilization is listed separately. 4-inch Schedule 40 embedded bollard (light duty): $350 to $550. 6-inch Schedule 40 embedded bollard (standard commercial): $450 to $700. 8-inch Schedule 40 embedded bollard (heavy duty, loading dock): $700 to $1,100. 6-inch surface-mount bollard (bolt-down, no core drill): $275 to $450. Removable bollard with embedded sleeve: $550 to $850 (includes sleeve and first bollard; replacement bollards are $150 to $250 each).
Add-On and Upgrade Pricing
Powder-coat in standard colors (safety yellow, OSHA orange, black, red): included. Custom RAL powder-coat color: add $75 to $150 per bollard, 2-week lead time. Stainless steel decorative sleeve over standard bollard: add $200 to $350 per bollard. Retroreflective tape wrap (4-inch alternating yellow/black): add $35 to $55 per bollard. High-security K4 rating (ASTM F3016 tested, 10,000 lb at 30 mph): $1,200 to $2,000 each, all-in. Post-strike inspection and certification: $150 flat rate per site visit for up to 6 bollards. Powder-coat touch-up service (existing bollards): $95 to $175 per bollard depending on corrosion extent. Permit application handling: $175 flat plus permit fee at cost.
Mobilization and Minimum Project Fees
Mobilization covers crew travel, equipment transport, and setup: $400 for sites within 25 miles of the Salt Lake Valley center; $600 to $800 for Provo–Orem corridor, Ogden, and outlying areas. Minimum project fee (all services combined before mobilization): $800. Single-bollard emergency replacements are priced at the minimum project fee plus mobilization—typically $1,200 to $1,600 all-in for a single bollard. For planning purposes, budget mobilization as a fixed line item and scale it against total bollard count. At 8+ bollards, mobilization typically represents under 10 percent of total project cost.
Volume Discount Tiers
Single-site volume discounts apply to the bollard unit price only (mobilization is flat). 1 to 3 bollards: list price. 4 to 7 bollards: 5 percent discount on unit price. 8 to 15 bollards: 10 percent discount. 16 to 30 bollards: 15 percent discount. 31 or more bollards: contact for negotiated master-price agreement. Multi-site portfolio pricing: property management companies with three or more properties can negotiate a blanket purchase order rate for the calendar year with guaranteed scheduling priority in our spring and fall production windows.

Common Questions
- How accurate are these ranges as a budget number?
- Within 10 to 15 percent for standard installations on accessible slabs with no post-tension or unusual conditions. Complex sites—elevated decks, underground utilities conflicting with preferred locations, non-standard slab depths—can push costs above the upper range. A site walk before committing to a budget is the safest approach for projects over $5,000.
- Are permits included in the pricing above?
- Permit fees are not included—we pass them through at cost. Our handling fee for the permit application is $175. Permit costs vary by municipality: typically $150 to $400 for a bollard installation permit in most Wasatch Front cities.
- Do you offer a maintenance contract for annual inspections?
- Yes. An annual inspection contract includes a visual inspection of each bollard for corrosion at the base, powder-coat condition, plumb verification, and cap adhesion. We provide a written report after each inspection. Annual inspection contracts are $95 per site for up to 10 bollards, plus $6 per additional bollard.
